The Worship Ministry at Calvary strives to create an environment where people find
themselves confronted by the Reality of God in a way that inspires an appropriate
response.
For that to happen you've got to be all about excellence (Colossians
3:23). What Paul says about building a foundation using "costly stones" (1 Corinthians
3:12) is our mandate to do everything to the best of our ability. That doesn't mean
that we are the best at what we do, but we do our best with what God has blessed
us in the way of talent and creativity. And inevitably, when you take that approach,
the end result is truly noteworthy in the most sacred sense of the word.
And that takes work. You don't strive to put your best foot forward
without having to make a sacrifice. Being prepared to worship
so you can
lead others to worship is
NOT something you can do as you're pulling into the parking lot.
Whether you're a musician or you're an actor or a dancer, leading others to a place
where they're being overwhelmed by a sense of the Holy means that you're already
there. You're prepared both artistically and spiritually
which equates to discipline, consistency and a tender heart toward the things of
God.
The Worship Ministry at "Calvary" is committed to incorporating any and every art
form into the worship service. If God created it and the artist is authentic in
their offering, then it's a legitimate form or worship.
Come and be a part of it! We'll see you Sunday!
