Young Adults
We seek to have a ministry that is culturally relevant to young adults,
who are in a transition time of their lives. This is a unique ministry for those who are
typically the most open to God's Love and Truth. Yet, they are also the most
open to almost anything, as well. So, we want to be able to have God's Love
and Truth capture their hearts, instead of other religious philosophies or false
belief systems.
In our area, about 20% of those who have graduated from High School do NOT go on
to college or leave this area, thus there are some young adults in our area, even
a small population. Of those that do stay, only a small percentage find a
church home that fits them, culturally, in this area. Thus, it behooves us
as a church family to design a ministry that is both sound doctrinally and culturally
relevant to this group of people. We want to develop a ministry that is NOT
just a Sunday School class on Sunday mornings, but goes beyond that and becomes
a full-fledged ministry to this segment of society, that has sound leadership in
place.
